Aimee Gibson returns to the Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic

Aimee Gibson, the trailblazing British padel star, is back at the Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic for the second consecutive year—and she's making waves both on and off the court.

Earlier this year, Gibson made history by becoming the first British player to break into the World’s top 100 in the FIP rankings, and she’s now cementing her status as one of the sport’s most exciting talents. But for Aimee, it’s not just about her rise in rankings; it's about her passion for inspiring others, particularly young girls, to get involved in sport.

The Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic is co-founded by investment, advisory and marketing group TTB Sport alongside Charlie Grave, raising funds for the Laureus Sport for Good Founation. Several celebrities will feature in the 2025 event with Sir Andrew Strauss and Michael Vaughan already confirmed alongside Judy Murray. TTB Sport invites all partners and event guests to join them in celebrating the spirit of sport and giving back while contributing to a cause that will change lives for the better.

The Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic, which has become a major event on the global padel calendar, provides a stage for top players from around the world to showcase their skills. For Gibson, this tournament is much more than just a competition—it's a chance to celebrate her love of padel and contribute to the sport's growing popularity in the UK. Her return to the event for a second year marks another step in her incredible journey, and her determination to continue improving is as fierce as ever.

“I’m thrilled to be back at the Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic this year," Gibson says. "It’s such a fantastic event, and the energy is always incredible. Being surrounded by so many amazing athletes is motivating and inspiring. For me, it's a chance to test myself at the highest level, but it’s also about enjoying the game and sharing my passion for padel with others."

Fundraising will play a key part in the Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic, with money raised benefitting the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, directly supporting The Hurlingham Club Foundation’s girls' racquets project, Empower.
Founded under the Patronage of Nelson Mandela, the Laureus Sport for Good has been operating for the last two decades supporting more than 300 programmes in over 40 countries and territories, each using the power of sport to support young people.

The Hurlingham Club Foundation’s Empower project uses racquet sports, including padel and squash, to engage young girls in meaningful, physical activities that build confidence, leadership, and resilience. By leveraging the power of sports, the project empowers young individuals to reach their full potential, equipping them with vital skills for success in life.

“It’s amazing to see so many young girls discovering padel and, more importantly, gaining confidence in themselves," Gibson explains. "Through the work of  Laureus Sport for Good, we’re not just teaching them how to play a sport, we’re teaching them life skills—how to be resilient, work as a team, and believe in their own potential.”
The importance of creating pathways for young girls to engage in sport has always been close to Gibson’s heart. As one of the leading figures in the UK’s growing padel scene, she understands the transformative impact sport can have on young people, especially girls, who often face barriers when it comes to participation in physical activities.
“Sport is such a powerful tool for empowerment, and it's wonderful we will be raising funds the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which does great work across the world,” she continues. “Padel is a perfect example of how sport can be both fun and inclusive, and I’m passionate about making sure girls have equal access to it. I believe that every young girl should have the opportunity to feel confident and supported in pursuing sport, whether it’s padel, tennis, or any other activity.”

With her historic achievement of breaking into the world’s top 100 in padel, Gibson has become a trailblazer for young women in sport. Her story serves as a powerful reminder that hard work, dedication, and a love for the game can take you far, no matter where you start. But for Aimee, the real reward is helping the next generation of female athletes unlock their potential.

“I’m proud to be part of a movement that’s helping young girls find their confidence through sport,” Gibson says. “Seeing these girls grow in their abilities, develop friendships, and embrace challenges—that’s the real victory.”
As Aimee Gibson continues to inspire young girls through her on-court success and her commitment to organisations like Laureus Sport for Good, her legacy in the sport of padel is just beginning. With her presence in the Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic, she’s not just competing at the highest level—she’s showing that sports can change lives and open doors for the future of female athletes everywhere.

The journey of Aimee Gibson is one to watch, and her impact on both the padel world and young girls across the UK is set to be felt for years to come.
