Sporting Legends to compete at the 2025 Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic
TTB Sport can announce that the 2025 Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic at The Hurlingham Club will feature a stellar line-up of sporting legends, with Jessica Ennis-Hill, Jamie Redknapp and George Gregan confirmed to take part in the prestigious event.
The legendary athletes from the worlds of athletics, rugby and football will bring their competitive spirit to the court, showcasing their skills in the fast-growing sport of padel.
The trio are delighted to take part in an event around which fundraising is a key component with all money raised this year benefitting the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation including support for The Hurlingham Club Foundation’s girls' racquets project, Empower.
Last year, Laureus Sport for Good enabled more than 100,000 girls around the world to enjoy the benefits of sport and trained more than 4,000 female coaches to support them. Through this initiative, the Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic aims to provide support to The Hurlingham Club Foundation's vision of creating a thriving and connected community.
This year's fundraising for Laureus Sport for Good will include support for The Hurlingham Club Foundation’s girls' racquets project, Empower.
Laureus Ambassador, Jamie Redknapp said: "I’m thrilled to be part of such a prestigious event like the Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic. It's always an incredible experience to compete alongside such talented athletes, and padel is a sport I am enjoying learning.
"Attending the event also allows me to continue my support for Laureus Sport for Good and our shared objective to continue to prioritise gender equity around the world. With the funds raised, we will continue to build a brighter future where sport truly has the power to transform lives."
As part of the Empower project, 24 girls per week access free racquet coaching and support from the Club’s female role models. All activities take place in the state-of-the-art facilities at The Hurlingham Club. The key objective is to give girls an opportunity to try out new sports in a supportive environment and support them to continue playing.
The Alfred Dunhill Padel Classic is co-founded by investment, advisory and marketing group TTB Sport alongside Charlie Grave, who said: "We are delighted to see these sporting icons will be with us on 14-15 May at The Hurlingham Club as the support for Laureus Sport for Good is a crucial part of the event.
"The stellar list of players - both professional and amateur - continues to grow each week, and it is clear the event has moved to a new level from the successful inaugural competition in 2024."
Several celebrities will feature in the 2025 event with Sir Andrew Strauss, Michael Vaughan and Judy Murray already confirmed, alongside Jessica Ennis-Hill, Jamie Redknapp and George Gregan.
